Hi, I was a senior tech support representative with Earthlink Network for almost seven and a half years. In fact, I was the senior person in their Tier II (or advanced support) department until my call center was closed and I was laid off. Over the many years I was there, I picked up a number of tips and tricks for getting various types of computers to work with the Internet. Much of this site is, and always will be devoted to helping people with their computers and passing along what I've learned. As time goes on, I'll add more tips, more tricks, more about me as a person.

As a start, here's a page of tech support tips. There's even some tips about keeping Windows 3.1x working if you still happen to be using it. As a side note, I'd like to mention that I still used it myself on my desktop computer until my computer got so fast some programs stopped working, because I'm an old-time MS-DOS hack, and like the idea of having Windows go away when I'm done with it. Several years ago, I switched over to running Fedora Linux, and am very happy with it. Personally, I don't like the direction that Gnome is heading in, so I recently migrated to XFCE.

Several years ago, I wrote a book about my experiences as a tech support representative.

I also have a number of pages of humor.
